The hotel was pleasant and clean, had pleasant views of the garden. Courteous staff, gave a lot of information. The service was fantastic, including a quick check-in. Moreover, we parked the car on site. Location: the venue was close to Brighton, the South Downs and Lewes.
The hotel staff was not particularly helpful.

Pelham house bed & breakfast is fantastic! The staff were friendly and helpful, catering to every need we had. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the train station. Our room wassuper clean and cozy, and we loved the little touch of biscuits with tea and coffee.

Very attractive historic, architecturally pleasing building - reminiscent of French chateau. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Bed was too hard. Firm is fine but the mattress was very firm and not good for dodgy backs.

Beautiful garden where you can also have breakfast in the morning. Comfortable beds, pleasant hotel bar, only a few minute-walk to the centre of Lewes and the railway station.
Standard breakfast is rather poor, but you can order an extensive breakfast a la cart.

Perfect spot for a getaway!
Just stayed for a night with friends. The staff were super friendly. The location was ideal, especially for the bonfire event. Our room was clean, and those biscuits were a nice touch! One hiccup was the lack of parking. We had to find a spot a ways away.

The bed was big and comfortable
The bathroom had a bathtub with shower function. That made getting in and out a bit difficult.

great walking distance to parks and historical sites
I requested a room with a bath and got a lovely room with a huge bathroom with a free-standing rolltop bath. The grounds were lovely and relaxing, great location just steps away from both Lewes Castle and the beautiful Southover Grange Gardens.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Food was excellent, dinner and breakfast. In fact the breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel for a long time. Single room was small but had everything that I needed. Great bathroom. Geat outdoor terrace and gardens.
There was nothing wrong at this excellent hotel.
